Saltaire, New York 11706
I am running for the position of Trustee and write to ask for your support.
For the past three years, I have served as the Associate Justice of the Village of Saltaire. It has been extremely fulfilling to serve the village in this capacity. I now seek the position of Trustee in order to serve the village in a different, yet important capacity.
I love Saltaire. Like many of you, I love the peace of Saltaire -- its simplicity, its beauty and its community. My father used to say that coming to Saltaire was like stepping into a Norman Rockwell painting. I know exactly what he meant. It is truly incredible that in this day and age, so close to New York City, that such a place could exist. There are so many timeless and unique aspects to Saltaire, all of which make it the invaluable gem that it is: the relative lack of crime, the physical beauty, the lack of cars, the way that children can travel freely and safely throughout the village, and the intense sense of community. I am enormously grateful to have been welcomed as part of it. And, I want to do my part to serve and uphold it.
For those of you who do not know me, I am the mother of three girls, ages 2 – 13. My children are camp devotees (the oldest is a counselor) and zealous Labor Day show participants. Indeed, for several years, I ran the Labor Day show, a true act of public service! I am also the founder of a law firm based in New York and San Francisco. My daily routine includes helping solve problems, large and small, while supervising our 30 or so employees. All of these experiences together have given me skills that I think would be helpful in addressing the needs of the village and balancing the interests of Saltaire’s many constituents.
I would like to do my part to preserve all of the wonders of Saltaire. I would strive to do that, if elected. I will be participating in the Candidate Forum on Saturday, May 19th. I will be available then to answer any questions you may have. Of course, I would be happy to discuss anything of interest to you when I see you in Saltaire.
Thank you for your consideration,
